Arlen Connelly Wedding Photography Manchester
GeneralThere has only ever been one instance in 8 years where I was unable to attend a wedding which was through a sporting knee injury. On this occassion I was able to supply a replacement wedding photographer with no extra fuss and the couple were thrilled with the results. General illness, i.e. colds and flu do not register as an illness and I will work through them if I have to. If there were to be a more serious complication, then as explained I will do my best to provide a replacement wedding photographer. I personally know at least 5 other, top quality wedding photographers in and around Manchester so fulfilling this promise would not be difficult.
I believe in offering a fair price for the services that I offer. Working from also home means I have lower overheads than photographers working from high street premises. I think you’ll agree that the prices i charge are very competetive for the level of service that I provide.
The only thing that the rain should affect is whether we shoot indoors or not. I have plently of experience of rainy weddings and usually find that the venues, whether churches or hotels, are very accomodating when it comes to the weather.
This isn’t usually necessary as I am well versed and experienced in the general formula of a wedding day. I will always arrive at the venue an hour early to have a quick look around for where might be good for group shots, or any special/artistic shots can be made.
Approximately 3 weeks after your wedding you will receive a DVD of all your photographs. These will be presented in a hard case with a personalised printed cover and DVD. If any prints or albums are required them you can select your required photos from the DVD and order them through me. Once ordered these can take up to a further 3 weeks.
Yes, a deposit of £120 is required to secure my wedding services for your wedding day. The final balance is due no later than 2 weeks before your wedding.
I have a natural shooting style that doesn’t leave anything out. I watch the story of your day unfold and work quickly and quietly to obtain those natural looking pictures without putting my camera in peoples faces. That being said I am very sociable and like to interact with guests when required; this enables a raport and familiarity which means people can feel more relaxed in my presence, especially during group shots. During these group shots I like to create a relaxed atmosphere and work quickly with minimal fuss to capture natural fun and expressions without a forced smile or stiff neck in sight. They are often shot within a 10-20 minute period which frees you and your guests up to get on with having fun and enjoying your day! I am also happy (time permitting) to photograph smaller family groups or portraits at your request which can be done in a more formal/traditional style if you wish.
I am happy to arrange a meeting but is not an essential requirement. It is always possible to arrange a meeting after you have secured your booking right up until the week of your wedding. Failing this we can have a good chat on the phone and I can talk you through what happens on the day with regards to your wedding photography.
I am based in South Manchester but frequently travel out to Liverpool, Cheshire, Lancashire, North Wales and the Lake district.
This depends on the package that you require and can vary from 4-8 hours. I start one hour before the ceremony taking shots of bride/groom preparations and stay till either your wedding breakfast or until the first dance, depending on your chosen package.
